The solution

You have entered [src]
2 - 3*(2*x + 2) = 3 - 4*x
$$2 - 3 \left(2 x + 2\right) = 3 - 4 x$$
Detail solution
Given the linear equation:
2-3*(2*x+2) = 3-4*x

Expand brackets in the left part
2-3*2*x-3*2 = 3-4*x

Looking for similar summands in the left part:
-4 - 6*x = 3-4*x

Move free summands (without x)
from left part to right part, we given:
$$- 6 x = 7 - 4 x$$
Move the summands with the unknown x
from the right part to the left part:
$$\left(-2\right) x = 7$$
Divide both parts of the equation by -2
x = 7 / (-2)

We get the answer: x = -7/2
